Fun Book Reports - Paper Bag Book Report
ELA Standard RF. K.2.b- Associate the long and short sounds with the common spellings for the five major vowels. I would use this activity after introducing sneaky e to the class. Students will make their own sneaky e puppets. Then they will write sneaky e words on the puppet to help them learn long vowel words.
Sneaky E Puppets
Wear an old sock over your shoe. Go for a nature walk. Remove sock, spritz with water & put into a ziploc bag. Hang the bag in a window for 2 weeks....watch what GROWS! Very cool!

I am soooooooooo tempted to put GLITTER WORDS on the next assignment, but I am SO AFRAID of the GLITTER EXPLOSION which is guaranteed to TAKE MY GRADE PILE, DESK, TEACHER BAG, DESK AT HOME, FLOOR AT HOME, HANDS, CAR, CLOTHES, AND SURELY MY EYES (it always ends up in my eyes eventually) BY STORM!!!
