Violet & purple
I have been fascinated with the photos of figs this past week. Yesterday morning I bought 15 black figs from the Persian market. My son's in-laws came to dinner last night. I made shrimp and mussels in a garlic/white wine sauce. For dessert, I served black figs, halved, drizzled in chocolate balsamic vinegar, sprinkled with raw sugar, caramelized with a blowtorch, and topped with a small piece of feta cheese.
