My son is only 7, but I always tell him: You can ALWAYS come home. If he's angry, out of money, on drugs, divorced, or just needs his laundry done - I will NEVER turn him away from his own home. You are a mother for LIFE, not just until the kid turns 18!

Children can bring frustration and heartache, but they magnify a life's joy a thousand-fold. I thank Heaven every day for each one.

Maintaining these is difficult for an INFJ

It's ok to be done. Give yourself permission. Putting yourself and your feelings first can be difficult, especially when you're used to putting others before yourself. But with toxic people, it's a necessity. You must come first. Their battle with negativity is theirs to fight, not yours.

An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, and truth." The boy thought about it and asked, "Grandfather, which wolf wins?" The old man quietly replied, "The one you feed."

about dealing with difficult people ...

A friend used to remind me that the number one goal in dealing with difficult people or circumstances is this: Don’t become what you hate. He wasn’t talking about hating the person, but he meant that we don’t want to become evil, wicked, petty, and sinful in our actions and motivations. We don’t overcome the Devil by underhanded and dishonorable means. We overcome evil, we drive it back into the abyss, by doing what is right and filling our hearts and lives with goodness.

Iv'e learned throughout the years that not speaking up to these people results in them ending their argument faster. Don't really feel like spending all day talking about why I put so much cheese on a pizza... I mean really... get a life

Somethings in life are mixed blessings, but the prickles of a rose bush are quite avoidable, one need only be patient. This too is true for the emotional brambles we endure, if we are patient and careful we can work around them and enjoy the roses.

Thank you Lord for your continued strength. I am blessed!

courage builds strength, strength builds endurance, "and endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. and this hope will not lead to disappointment. for we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love." (Romans 5:4-5). The Bible verse was already here. I like it.
