The man of my dreams will take me hear some day :) Le Procope is Paris' oldest cafe, dating back to the 1600s. Starting as a cafe where gentlemen would drink coffee, it became a popular meeting place for intellectuals--such as Voltaire, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson-- throughout the 18th century. It was also a well known meeting place for French Revolutionaries. (CW15-2)
Musée Jacquemart-André: What began as a private collection turned public, is a peek into the interests of a aristocratic family during the late 1800's. This museum not only displays international art but paintings dating back through the Renaissance. In addition to the art, museum attendees can head up to the fifth floor tea salon for an elegant meal.
