Rachel Ray talked about how you should make your own taco seasoning because the stuff you buy in stores is full of sodium(and it has silica in it, which is like the little packet found in new shoes that says DO NOT EAT!). This is just full of flavor. Simply spices! 1 T chili powder, 1 T ground cumin, 1 T garlic powder, 1 T onion powder, 1/4 T crushed red pepper
Homemade Ranch Ingredients 6 Tbsp dried parsley 6 tsp dried dill 6 tsp garlic powder 6 tsp onion powder 3 tsp dried basil 3 tsp pepper 1-3 tsp salt or to taste Directions 1. Mix all of the spices together and store in an airtight container. 2. To make a quick and easy ranch dressing, mix 1/3 cup non fat Greek yogurt with 1/4 cup skim milk and 1 tbsp of homemade ranch seasoning.
Ranch Dressing Mix from scratch= a fraction of the cost of the packets in the store plus no icky chemicals/dyes/etc! Now just mix it with Greek yogurt and voila
Dried (in the oven) strawberries recipe, so chewy and delicious! They taste like candy but are healthy and natural.
Hopefully this will help keep fruit and veggies from going bad too early. Smart things here. I have practiced many of these most of my life. I will add Tomatoes. I do not refrigerate them ever. I have a hanging basket in the kitchen for my tomatoes and if I cut it I eat the entire tomato then and there. They act of chilling a whole or cut tomato sucks the flavor away immediately.
