Called "Funeral Sandwiches" they are a North Carolina specialty, you won't believe how good these are! Nothing mournful about these babies! Ham & cheese is placed between sweet Hawaiian rolls then a scrumptious marinade is poured over all before baking to a golden brown. Delicious appetizer slider sandwiches.
Funeral Sandwiches (nothing mournful about them!) ~ Cut rolls in half & line the bottom of a baking pan with the bottoms of the rolls. Layer the ham slices, then cheese & place the top half back on. Mix together the butter, worcheshire, mustard, brown sugar & onion powder & pour the whole works over the buns, drenching each one. Cover tightly & marinade anywhere from 4-24 hrs. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes,uncovered,or until cheese is melted & bun tops are golden brown.
