Killing Aphids with Soap. HOMEMADE INSECTICIDAL SOAP CONCENTRATE 1/4 cup grated soap (I use Fels-Naptha, but Ivory or other real soap - see above - will work) 4 cups hot water Stir soap into water until dissolved. Store in a jar until ready to use. To dilute for plant use: Add 1 tsp. concentrate per 4 cups (32 oz.) of water. Pour solution into a spray bottle. This soap is a contact poison - spray directly onto the aphids. It will not harm your plants.

Dog Pond - Place a plastic kiddie pool in the ground. It'd be easy to clean and looks nicer than having it above ground. Big dogs can't chew it up or drag it around.

Healing Effects of Raw Honey - Most of the honey found in the supermarket is not raw honey but “commercial” regular honey, which has been pasteurized (heated at 70 degrees Celsius or more, followed by rapid cooling). On the downside, when honey is heated, its delicate aromas, yeast and enzymes which are responsible for activating vitamins and minerals in the body system are partially destroyed. Hence, raw honey is assumed to be more nutritious than honey that has undergone heat treatment.
