Tom Flyn III - President. A healthy dose of nepotism helped Tom become the fourth generation of Flynns at Lessing-Flynn. It's not often you meet an ad agency president who serves as the day-to-day account lead for multiple clients, and writes copy that tells stories AND sells products. Then again, with four kids, multi-tasking is very familiar to him. In his spare time, Tom plays bad golf and searches for people who play poker more poorly than he does. Rumor has it he's still looking.
Josh Fleming - Interactive Marketing Director. It's rare to find that fine blend between geekdom and superhero. When it comes to interactive marketing - Josh is that guy. At work, the South Florida transplant "geeks out" on websites, blogs, Google, Twitter, Facebook and other social media. In his "other" life Josh has written a screenplay, raises his four kids and dreams of becoming famous enough to have Philip Seymour Hoffman portray him in a movie.
Connor T. Flynn Jr. - Chairman. This self-taught agronomist and southpaw enjoys golf and can frequently be found at LF’s lost and found. A “word” man by trade, Connor has been influential in the “ifs, ands, or buts” for the past several decades. He continues to be a leading advertising authority for many of our agricultural and industrial clients.
Joe Rosenberg - Vice Chairman. This former hippie DJ turned part-time Wyoming cowboy has some issues and he has no problem telling you about them. The self-described "utility infielder", Joe can be found doing anything from help desk, video, music and writing for a number of agency clients, that is, when he's not wandering the Apple Store. Joe continues to be a leading creative voice in the agency.
Emily Beckmann - Project Manager/Client Services. The announcement of Emily’s arrival at Lessing-Flynn was greeted with a resounding “Nice Choice!” Just a few years after graduating from Simpson College, Emily has already established a strong reputation in the Des Moines business networking community. And rightly so. Not only is she bright and personable – she’s involved. Server space is too limited to list all her activities … And we couldn’t be happier to have her.
Jessica "Jess" Held - VP - Client Services. On the surface, Jess appears to be all business. She's not. While she's not afraid to pitch a new marketing idea from anywhere - including the dental chair, she is also the agency's class clown. A true marketing strategist and PR pro, Jess has lived marketing from both sides of the table for longer than she's willing to admit.
Joe Winn - Copywriter. Still not sure who hired this guy. Joe showed up uninvited one day and promptly began churning out awesomely appalling alliterations. He had a clean shirt on though, so we gave him an office. His interests include making lists of interests that aren't the least bit true or even interesting. Not sure how long he'll last as a copywriter. One slip up in the clean shirt category and he's out the door.
Chris Hanson - Art Director. Likening himself to a short Lou Diamond Phillips, Hanson goes with his gut unless his stomach hurts - and with a diet of sushi and saki bombs, it often does. Hanson can often be found at the Prairie Meadows poker room taking money from senior citizens, although, he's really a nice guy. For the last decade, Hanson has been producing award winning creative.
Joel Clifton - Art Director. Joel's the kind of guy who will return stray hubcaps to their rightful owners. He plays a pretty mean guitar lick when he's not in DIY home remodeling mode. He's also turned visits to the auto repair shop into his personal hobby. A gifted illustrator with a flair for building structure into creative chaos, Joel knew he would be an artist by second grade when his classmates asked him to draw things for them.
Jordan Beynon - Account Manager / Creative Services. Super Hip, Sushi Chic Jordan hit the ground running when she joined LF in 2008 after graduating from Central College with three internships and international experience. She has impressed the office and clients with her many abilities from design, client services and project management. Over Achiever? Absolutely. Bright Future? Definitely.
Chris Abrahamson - Office Manager. Chris was retired for four days and then decided to work at Lessing-Flynn. We picked the sanest person to be our office manager - and company foreman. She'll greet you with a smile if you walk in the front door, and might hug you if you bring chocolate. As office manager describes the folks here as "equally crazy at times - for some, it's just more frequent."
Jim Spoerl - Account Executive/Electronic Media. Who would have thought a cigar-chompin' Dakotan with a double-digit golf handicap would still be kickin' around this industry after almost a half-century in the biz? Not us when we hired him almost twenty years ago! But when you've got someone who knows all the tricks to the media trade because he's pulled them all himself, that's a good thing to have on your side.
