When juicing carrots I save use the solids in other ways. I lay them out flat on a tray and freeze them, then place loose in a zippy bag to use in carrot cake, muffins, soups, stews, potato pancakes, salads, slaws, fried rice, chowder, spring rolls, wraps and mirepoix.
