Denim scrap quilt by Mia in Norway: "Like most quilters I find it difficult to resist pretty fabrics. A quilts store being like a candy store for a quilter. Yet for some reason I get more pleasure out of 'making something out of nothing'. A bit like 'making a silk purse out of a sow's ear'.In this case the sow's ear being old jeans and shirts, worn out and faded old cushion covers (even a loose cover for a chair), and snippets of tea towels and linen fabrics. Hardly a new fabric in sight."
