When visiting the Czech Republic it is impossible not to marvel at the old world archicture. Drawing influence from every notable architectural age, it is like a Disney World for adults. This gallery represents some architectural works of art from Prague and Kutna Hora - possibly two of the best examples of old world architecture. squar, charms, old world charm, old town, czech republic, travel, bohemian design, place, prague
Christmas In Rome - What a juxtaposition, a Christmas tree with the "light to the world" and star (in remembrance of the Star of Bethlehem) in honor of Christ's birth into the world ... next to the Colisseum where Christians were brutally torn apart for their faith in God, in that same Christ! roma, rome christmas, christmas in rome, christmas time, rome italy, christma tree, place, christmas trees, itali

Jarlshof - near Sumburgh, Shetland Islands, Great Britain; the Viking settlement of the Jarlshof site was hidden until a storm in the late 1800s exposed some of the remains from late Iron Age buildings (before 800 AD); built in a circular fashion around a central hub with small rooms and storage areas leading off of it. bronze, histori, scotland, jarlshof, age settlement, shetland island, bronz age, travel, place

Murren, Switzerland.... you cannot imagine it unless you've been there. The faint sound of hundreds of distant cow bells against such stunning scenery. (Same kind of cattle drive takes place in Bavaria also.)

Situated principally on the right bank of the River Seine, it also includes the west end of the Île de la Cité. The arrondissement is one of the oldest in Paris, the Île de la Cité having been the heart of the city of Lutetia, conquered by the Romans in 52 BC, while some parts on the right bank (including Les Halles) date back to the early Middle Ages. The Louvre and the Tuileries are the most iconic places to visit there. the louvre, art museum, buckets, du louvr, pari, buildings, place, main entrance, bucket lists

crazy story behind this picture!!! derweze, also known as the door to hell, is a 70 meter wide hole in the middle of the karakum desert in turkmenistan. the hole was formed in 1971 when a team of soviet geologists had their drilling rig collapse when they hit a cavern filled with natural gas. in an attempt to avoid poisonous discharge, they decided to burn it off, thinking that the gas would be depleted in only a few days. derweze is still burning today. the doors, natur, hell, travel, place, karakum desert, deserts, derwez, turkmenistan

Lombard street, San Francisco. Lombard Street is best known for the one-way section on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, in which the roadway has eight sharp turns (or switchbacks) that have earned the street the distinction of being the crookedest [most winding] street in the world (though this title is contested) san francisco california, lombard street, lombardstreet, sanfrancisco, places, memories, travel, homes, roads
A dream of mine is to visit a Mediterranean island and spend every day laying on the beach soaking up the sun and every evening drinking local wine and eating local cheeses. Seeing as how I'm so prone to sun burns, though, this dream is probably more of a death wish. Pictured: Capri, Italy dream, capri, travel, beach, place, italy, walk, itali, bucket lists
