Drive a couple of hours, and spend a week at a Texas Dude Ranch, where they will have you sittin' in the saddle in no time... you can find a bunch of them in the Texas Hill Country. And they usually have pretty darned good food, too. Mmmm, peach cobbler cooked in a cast iron skillet is gooood.
