"Marie, Queen of Romania...her life story is fascinating" eldest daughter of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. Her father was the second-eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Her mother was the only surviving daughter of Alexander II of Russia and Maria Alexandrovna of Hesse.

The Sphinx is a natural rock formation with the shape of a human-like face in the Bucegi Mountains in Romania (elev. 2,216m). The Romanian Sphinx stone formation measures 8 meters in height and 12 meters in width (similar size to the world famous Sphinx of Gizeh in Egypt). The mysterious origin of this megalith revolves around whether it was carved by an ancient civilization or created by accident by wind and rain.
