A kid in Austin, Texas, became an Internet sensation when he wrote a letter to a local meteorologist. Flint sent a wonderfully imaginative note to KVUE-TV’s Albert Ramon, thanking the weatherman for visiting his fourth grade class. The note was mailed along with 30 other letters from kids in the same class.
This kid needs to be my kid.

Sponge Ball Water Fight: Great for a game of tag on a scorching hot day, squishy sponge balls are summer's alternative to snowballs. Made from kitchen sponges that are cut up and tied together, they last longer than water balloons and are softer and splashier than regular balls. Best of all, after tossing them around, the kids will be as clean as the kitchen dishes

Cornstarch and water=hours of fun! I've been making this with my daughter for years, except we've always called it gooplah. Pick it up and it's solid, but it returns to a liquid in your hand! So fun to play with, even for adults! If it splashes, be patient and let it dry. It turns back to cornstarch and can be swept up with a broom!!
