Fact and Opinion Foldable...this made me have a new idea...use a foldable to teach kids to use text to justify their arguments--they write the argument on the outside and then have to write the justification from the text on the inside...this could be part of the prewriting process before writing an argument essay
Students use sticky notes and post what concepts "stuck" with them that day. This is a great way for students to reflect on their learning at the end of the day. It also shows the teacher what concept was taught very well that day. Could be used as a ticket out the door!
