Make my house a Home
DIY painted drawer for a shelf (using for keys/mail/wallet/phone)
Danny Seo, author of Upcycling ($18; Running Press), created this rocksteady holder with an 18-inch-long piece of floral craft wire (99 cents for 20; afloral.com). Tightly loop one end of the wire around a stone; then wrap the wire around itself to secure. Stand the remaining length of wire upright, twisting the top inch or so into a flattened spiral circle (as shown). Insert a postcard or snapshot for a picture-perfect effect.
Beautiful Centerpiece, one of my all time favorites! Can't wait to make this!
12x12 stone tiles from home improvement store. Add felt to the bottom for inexpensive placemats or hot pads.
Put a picture of the beach you visited in a shadow box frame and fill the bottom with sand (& shells?) from that beach. I love this idea!!!!!!!!!
I could see your mom doing this @Jessica Laughlin Create a holder for all your jewelry out of your mom's garden hoe! All of your cork, jewelry, and other boards can be safely hung on your wall with command strip hooks (available to purchase at most grocery and drug stores). Avoid holes in your walls from tacks and nails!
Rake Jewelry Holder
Put a shelf over a window and use the shelf brackets to hold a curtain rod. I did this in our GA home. Found wooden shelf, brackets and pole at Lowes. Easy assembly. Used floor length pale green sheer curtains, and painted shelf, brackets and pole the same color as the sheers to make the windows look bigger/taller.
Bookshelf Painted Stairs
Organize pots and pans by turning a vertical bakeware organizer on its end and securing it to the cabinet wall with cable clips. Genius.
