    I make mine with organic basmati....short grain is starchy and thus, no need for thickener...Bamati is a high protein, healthy grain, I also use brown... I use left over rice the morning after a rice dinner, thicken with a smidge of corn starch, rice flour or whatever if needed....and our little nisse/tomte sits on the shelf, licking his lips!
