Did you know you can recycle Elmer's glue sticks and bottles? AND you can earn money for your school while you recycle!

Use two colors for name calling sticks. Flip the stick after you've called that student. Brilliant!

Ticket Out the Door - excellent idea for exit questions and reflections!

Students Tracking Their Own Progress: Graphing Fluency Data- FREEBIE included

put 100 pieces in 20 different zip-loc bags. On the 100th day my students were each given a bag. They had to see what they could build with the 100 legos they were given. They worked on these throughout the day between other activities. At the end of the day they drew a picture of what they made and wrote about it.

Command Hooks for anchor chart solution...kids can easily flip through old anchor charts

Here is a list of the 234 childrens picture books on video offered on Discovery Education, play the video on your SMARTboard so that all of your students can follow along. Most have closed captioning, so your students can read along, too!

Dollar store photo albums… Turn them into flashcard fun! Easy to write and wipe, just insert what you are working on. You could even just insert white paper and have them work on writing sight words, so many ways to use them!

Laminate, have students write the answer to an exit slip with dry erase marker. Color code by class. Good way to quickly assess. Kids grab ticket on way in the room, drop in basket on way out.

First day of school tips and FREE printables.

Instant Data As we went over each question, I had students color in the square if they had that question wrong. Once we were done with the test, I took each strip and taped them to a manilla folder. INSTANT data!!! I did not have to plug numbers into a computer. I can clearly see that question 9 is one I really need to go over.

Put class list in a frame to easily mark and erase. It would be cool to add a line at the top where you could write what you're checking off such as "Field Trip Money." that way you can easily keep track with a collection and the kids can see it, eliminating the constant questions!.. Could add magnet strips to place on the board for set up/take down.
