Use chicken wire to encourage a Clematis (or other vine) to clamber up a tree. HOWEVER - be careful to leave some room for the tree trunk to grow thicker, check it every year, and don't plant an aggressive vine that might strangle the tree. idea, wire frame, frames, clematis, clemati grow, trellis, trees, garden, flower
Wire frame around the tree is invisible and creates a great trellis effect. I use coated chicken wire.

just learned about hypertufa - a lightweight concrete recipe... so many possibilites here is the recipe 1 part pre-mixed Portland cement/sand mix 1 part peat moss 1 part perlite or vermiculite - google hypertufu for the endless creative possibilities
