Another excellent idea for magnetic play. A shadow box or deep picture frame can be filled with rice, sand, glitter, or other small particles, as well as interesting magnetic items. Hot glue on a backing piece of wood or cardboard if necessary, and children can use a magnet to hunt around for the hidden items.
