US troops at the Daiquiri Beach, Oriente Cuba circa 1898. The daiquiri was invented by an American engineer, Jennings Cox, who worked in Cuba at the time of the Spanish American war; living in the small town of Daiquirí! Daiquirí also happened to be the beach chosen by the U.S. Navy to land Army troops. Cox introduced the Navy and Army officers to the drink who brought it back to Washington, DC and the rest became actually history.

Empire State Building, New York My son said all the cars on the street looked liked micro machines, they were so small. They said if you dropped a penny off the top and it hit someone, it could kill them. Hmmm...still not sure I believe that. It is so amazing how big this city is from the top of ESB.
