wheatgrass can boost egg production
Great cheap chicken water heater - Wichita Cabin Coop
I must find one of these! An egg skelter. Keeps your eggs in order of lay. (If you get fresh eggs from your own chickens - they can be un-refrigerated for up to 3+ weeks)
The best way to make hard-boiled eggs is in the oven! Place the eggs in a muffin tray so they do not move around, turn the oven to 350 degrees, pop in for about 25-30 minutes and put in ice water. Not only are they tastier, but they also are much easier to peel, and you can cook them while something else is in the oven
For anyone that may not know, the BEST way to make hard-boiled eggs is in the OVEN! Place the eggs in a muffin tray so they do not move around, turn the oven to 325 degrees, pop in for about 25-30 minutes and remove! Not only are they tastier, but they also are much easier to peel! Must try this.
I'm thinking I might want chickens when we grow up. Chickens and a garden and the kids all have to run and take care of both because I have no green thumb and I can't keep animals alive even though i try really hard! It'll teach them to work hard and it'll provide food. two birds with one stone! bad analogy? two needs with one deed!
What a cool coop!
