Nature at her finest
Africa is waiting. And it is red
Mmmmmm...... I saw northern lights this shade of green in Alaska the summer I turned 6. It was 1965 and I was laying in the back of our old Rambler station wagon. I saw the green shimmer across the sky just before we drove into the forrest. I was the only one in the car to see it. One of my most treasured childhood moments. :)

Photographer Tad Bowman noted: This photograph depicts Nellie Creek Falls in the Colorado Mountains with brilliant fall colors. This was a more challenging shot than I thought due to the wind. I took numerous shots and waited about an hour and a half for the wind to die down. Equipment: Canon EOS 1ds Mark II, 24-70mm lens, polarizer, tripod

Real - Photographed by Emmanuel Coupe, this photo shows frozen gas bubbles in a Canadian lake. In his own words: "This image was taken in winter time in a arid area of the Canadian Rockies. Temperatures where below -30 degrees Celsius yet because there was no snow fall the surface of the lake was uncovered allowing me to see and capture the bubbles (gas release from lake bed) that were trapped in the frozen waters."
