Two-story high glass entry (reno ideas for split entry home)
my convertible life: Friday's 5: Family Room Remodel
Looks like a tower bump-out added to the front of a split-entry / raised ranch home. Allows actual front door to be relocated. Love the windows and additional space!
HFG - 10911 Dogwood
Expanded split level entryway. Think about bumping out the door to give more space in the entry.

Split Level Kitchen Bananza!, This was your typical split level home kitchen. Big ugly wall, old cabinets, and a very closed in feeling. Now... We have knocked some walls down, remodeled basically everything, and are loving our new open area! There are lots of little things that cannot be seen in the pictures.
Split Level Kitchen Bananza!
One of the things I can't wait to change in my own split-level is the dated wrought-iron railing that separates the middle and lower floors. I've been scratching my head over how to update it, and I love this approach. The glass panels preserve the same openness as the railing, but look sleek and sophisticated.
Changing out the railing is going to make all the difference in your average split level home.
