Cute use for old toys. Probably have a couple floating around the house/barn/storage unit! Photo: Richard Felber | thisoldhouse.com | from Turn Salvaged Junk Into Garden Ornaments

Tomatoes need calcium to achieve their full flavor potential, and calcium is often greatly lacking in our soils. 95% of a dry eggshell is calcium carbonate. When planting your tomato plants crush up (to powder) about 4 or 5 egg shells and put them in the bottom of the hole. Then plant your tomato on top. They'll provide calcium and prevent blossom end rot. --- I'll make sure to use this for the spring

Glass Pebbles from the Dollar Store create this stain glass window look. This would be fabulous in the garden with the sun beaming through.

Cover a toilet paper tube in peanut butter and roll in bird seed. Then just slide it on a branch.

For the first day of spring. Birds will take a string (or multiples) and weave them into their nests. I love this idea!

Pinner says: this is the BEST Weed Spray. I made 3 gallons for around $4.00 last year after seeing a pin. Worked better than Round Up & killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle.
