This photo is a good representation of discrimination. Discrimination is treating someone differently and less favorably than others. Like many African Americans who lived in the United States in the early 1900s, this yellow duck is feeling the weight of discrimination. Prior to civil rights laws, there was no limit on how people could be discriminated against.

We're pretty sure that the owl keeping watch over our property is a Tawny Owl. Not positive, but 90% sure. "Its nocturnal habits and eerie, easily imitated call, have led to a mythical association of the Tawny with bad luck and death." (wiki) Great! "The Tawny Owl or Brown Owl (Strix aluco) is a stocky, medium-sized owl commonly found in woodlands across much of Eurasia. This owl is non-migratory and highly territorial." (wiki)
