I did this with a co-teaching activity for 3rd graders. It requires students to write good observations while still generating enough mystery to require they think about making good inferences. Everybody has a white board and "guesses" what is in the bag. GREAT lesson on inferencing!

I LOVE this online lesson planning website. As you create a lesson plan, you note what Common Core Standards apply via a dropdown menu. As a middle school teacher, I create a section for each of my periods and save the documents in the file. So snazzy and FREE! Love it!
