The city of Metropolis, Ill. has called itself the "Home of Superman" for nearly 40 years. Visitors to Metropolis will find no shortage of Superman memorabilia, souvenirs and other Superman mentions. Several street names have been changed to a Superman theme, such as Superman Square and Lois Lane and even the city's weekly newspaper is called the Metropolis Planet.
