Say it! “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40 Let’s hear you say it! Encourage your child to write his memory verse on a sticky note and stick it on the refrigerator door.  Every time he walks into the kitchen he has to stop and say it out loud!

You can help! Week of November 20th. As you tuck in for the night, talk with your child about how your family can get involved and support a mission project or a community support organization. Pray together and ask God to show you how you can serve generously for Him and make a difference.

How can you help? Week of November 20. This week at dinner, talk about some of the bigger projects that our church is doing. Talk about the children in other countries who will benefit from our generosity, or the organizations that will be able to do more for the people in our community when we volunteer. Help your kids see that we can all be a part of what God is doing in this world when we are willing to be generous!

Draw it! Week of November 13. “Be kind and loving to each other.” Ephesians 4:32 Practice the verse several times with your child. Then grab a piece of paper and some crayons and help your child draw a simple picture of the people she sees throughout her week. Next practice the verse substituting each person’s name from the pictures she drew. (Be kind and loving to Mary. Be kind and loving to grandma.)

Talk about helping others Week of November 13. This week we are challenging our kids to look for ways to help others! Make time to talk as a family about how you can help other people in big ways and in small ways every day. Share a time when someone has helped you.

Look it up! Week of November 13. “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40  Look it Up! Help your child find Matthew 25:40 in their Bible and underline it. Talk to him about what Jesus meant when He talked about the “least of these”.

Catch and Learn Play Time Week 1: Throw a beanbag or ball back and forth with your child. Each time you toss the ball, practice saying this month’s memory verse, “Be kind and loving to each other.” Ephesians 4:32
