Rooting hydrangea cuttings- Cut a softwood shoot that has several leaves. Trim it into 5-inch-long pieces that each have a leaf toward the top. Remove extra leaves; then cuts the remaining leaf in half to minimize evaporation (and the need for watering). Dip the other end in powdered rooting hormone; plant the cuttings in trays filled with a soilless mix and perlite.

Once the holes were drilled, I screwed the boards together, attached some two by fours to the bottom for support, ran a drip line up the middle, filled it with dirt and placed the strawberry plants into the holes. My husband helped me attach some plastic PVC pipe to the drip line sticking out the top and to that we attached a quick release to attach the hose to for watering.

Use cinnamon as a substitute for rooting hormone. It also kills fungus and bacteria at the same time. I will never buy Rootone again : )
