Harper's Ferry, Virginia. This is a cool spot. Steep hills but so filled with history. When there we watch kayaks merging for the Shenandoah River into the Potomac. If you are a history buff, John Brown may ring your bell. I would have appreciated my history lessons better if I could have visited Virginia. People that live there are so lucky.
Virginia is for Ballers! I made this because I love VCU basketball, but just feel like other Virginia schools are also getting better. ODU, Norfolk State, Virginia Tech, UVA, Radford, Longwood, Hampton, James Madison, VMI, William & Mary, George Mason, Liberty, University of Richmond... BALLIN'
Entrance is in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Hike around the lake is about 4.5 miles, lovely views, always shady in the summer, not strenuous.
Bull Run Trail, Manassas to Fairfax Station, Virginia. Roughly 20 miles along historic Bull Run creek and the Occoquan River. A beautiful hike that seems remote, even though it's in the middle of heavily populated Northern Virginia.
