The Dresden Green Diamond is a 41 carats (8.2 g) natural green diamond, which probably originated in the Kollur mine in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. In 1768, the diamond was incorporated into an extremely valuable hat ornament, surrounded by two large and 411 medium-sized and small diamonds. This is the setting that the Dresden Green still appears in today. Today, the diamond is shown in the “New Green Vault” at Dresden Castle.

Romanov ruby necklace purchased by Imelda Marcos, First Lady of the Philippines (1965-1986)

The Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History Collection. 23.1-carat Burmese ruby, set in a platinum ring with diamonds, was donated by Carmen Lúcia.

This ruby and diamond bracelet contains 31 matched Burmese rubies with a total of 60 carats. The bracelet is on display at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Myanmar (formerly Burma) is the major source of rubies and sapphires.
