Classroom Procedure Task Cards! Each of these 39 cards features a different classroom procedure such as what to do when you don't know how to spell a word or when you are feeling sick. Use at the start of the year to help your students learn you procedures and be more independent. $

Story Sticks. Yellow = character, Red = conflict, Green = setting, Blue = "Special" Choose one of each and then make up a story based on what you've got.

Good idea! copy them on bright colored cardstock and laminate for durability. The students use the cards to cover up their work and to keep wandering eyes from copying. This has worked really well for me. Let me know what you think

DIY lesson planning book, using a spiral, sharpies and post-its--my faves!! It works great if you "team plan" but prefer to set plans up in your own format for the week. And, you can code it how you want and move things around as necessary. ALSO, you can reuse the ideas for NEXT year and just adjust as needed

Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability. Thinking I will do this next year.

Add duct tape to pencils to keep them from disappearing. Pinner wrote: I have been doing this for a few months and it has really helped! When pencils end up in my co-teachers'' classrooms they always make their way back.
