Exit Ticket - great idea! Use a dry erase board with the question. Have students line up and whisper answer to teacher on the way to lunch! No paper! I like it better as the students enter the room from after lunch - it would help to calm them down quickly and help avoid all the talking before getting to their chair.

LOVE this idea! Class timeline--remembering all the awesome stuff we've done! Great end of the year display!
Zip tie crates to make shelving. Hmmm... To help organize my literature units and or maybe put lessons in the crates for the literature units, so students can go through their lessons as they read. I think I will have a required finish time for the units, and teach specific skills a few times a week that relate to the unit lessons.

wonderful idea! Another pinner said:This year, my class is going to have a memory jar (inspired by the jar mentioned above). My plan is to end each day by choosing a student to add one memory from the day to our jar. I will have pre-cut strips of paper and I will probably write the memory on the slip myself (with the students name) to add to our jar.
What a wonderful idea. I'm not sure what the original intention was for this as I haven't visited the source page yet, but when I think about using it with Miss A, here's what I think... Ask your children the ten most important things they would like YOU to know about THEM. Get to know what matters to them. Explore their thinking. Gain some insight. Delve. Discover. Delight. And do it often. Nx
I love the idea of each group having their own bookshelf, tissue box, hand sanitizer, and trash can. It would be nice if there were cups for sharpened and unsharpened pencils too to prevent all useless wandering. My cooperating teacher had a filing cabinet for each of her pods, but I like this better
Like the crispness of this room and I like how it has little book cases for materials.
