1821 Table by Cruikshank ~ "108 Black Walnut segments converge on a Braille-pierced centre plate that quotes from Martin Luther King Jr: 'I have decided to stick with love, hate is too great a burden to bear.' The top revolves… supported by a cruciform base. The word 'love' sits stationary at its centre. Materials used in the manufacture of firearms combine instead in an object that carries a message of peace, communication and tolerance."

The table was created for the fine art exhibition 'roundabout'. After opening at Wellington's City Gallery in 2010 it travelled to Israel the following year, drawing record crowds at The Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

Wonder about things. Accept people as they are. Look and listen carefully. We all have feelings. Ask a lot of questions. Hairccuts don't hurt. Teach by example. Feed the fish. Be yourself. Share. Play. Love. Everything I ever needed to know, I learned from Mister Rogers. :)

A Caim Is a Celtic word. It means an invisible circle you put around yourself for immediate protection if you feel under threat. Draw an invisible circle around yourself with your right index finger by extending your arm towards the ground and turning clockwise with the Sun at day. Or Moon at night As you do this, become aware that you are safe and encompassed by the love of God and Goddess: that you are encircled, enfolded and protected.

Cruelty Has a Human Heart - Lise Bjørne Linnert

This ofrenda was constructed in remembrance of women killed along the Texas/Mexico border. I believe there is one sugar skull for every women who has been found dead. The symbolism is strong, powerful and controversial. Each skull has the name of one woman killed in the Juarez, Mexico area. Unfortunately little has been done to stop the carnage. The installation was presented at Dia de los Muertos in 2006 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque.
