This looks just like the little guys I rescue here in Bakersfield after a big wind storm. At this stage they are only beak, belly and claws wrapped up in soft white down feathers. If you ever find an owl down and hungry, you can feed them raw chicken breast meat. Feed them little strips of the raw meat WITH TONGS to save your hand! Remember that you do not look like mommie!
Baby owl, so cute.
Sweep - Black Barn Owl, by John Harding They usually do not survive more tan 18 hours as the are killed by their confused mothers or other Owls. They only survive if born in captivity and would still be attacked by other Owls if released into the wild as adult birds. They come from England and are the opposite of albino.
