the memories...every Friday night & sometimes Saturday too!
The Titanic, an icon of Edwardian luxury, was traveling from England to New York when it struck an iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on April 14, 1912. It sank at 2:20 a.m. on April 15 south of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, with the loss of more than 1,500 of the 2,208 passengers and crew. Halifax is the final resting place for 150 of the ship's victims.
In this picture, a soldier is about to leave for war. He is all ready to go and packed up in the train, but before it departs, he has to lean out and give his girl a big kiss. The powerful pic shows the high level of emotions they must have been going through. It seems like it would be hard for the both of them. Private Joe Sunseri grabs this last minute kiss on March 11, 1942 from his girl, Alma Teresi.
