Make this instead. | The Secret Ingredient In Delicious, Creamy Hummus
Hummus/avacado toasts with baked tomato!
My first meal after the fast: Paprika-pepper mahi mahi with black beans, arugula, tomato, and avocado.
How did it go? Are you feeling ok after eating again? I wanted to say thank you for posting that stuff, I saw it last night and then went and watched FSND and am so doing this come Jan1. It gives me hope to regain my health and actually feed my body and brain, the weight loss is just a bonus!
I feel GREAT with eating, but I was recently diagnosed with being lactose intolerant, so now I have to be even MORE aware with what I eat! It was such a great experience, because I was really unhappy with how I felt. I can't say what got me through the 60 days, but taking before and after pictures was really eye-opening. Good luck, and please contact me with any other questions!
so you wouldnt drink the same juices everyday right??
they were all different?
My before and after a 60 day juice cleanse! I am not a doctor, please consult yours before changing your diet.
@ Kristen Jenkins, how many pounds did you lose in 60 days?..I will be starting my 60 day juice fast tommorow~) I want to overall accomplish a better eating lifestyle and I would like to lose 30 pounds.
What a change!! How did you do this?
I am a new juicer. My Jack Lalanne juicer spits anything green into the pulp pile. Is there a good, yet cheap juicer for greens that anyone can recommend? Thanks! JuiceLove, Kelly
You are such an inspiration! Me and my sister went on a juice fast for 7 days and did really good but gave in to food. This time we hope to go much longer :)
How much did you loose? And how did you keep it off?
My version of the "Mean Green" juice: 1 bunch spinach, 1 bunch kale, 2 apples, 2 carrots, 1 cucumber, 4 celery stalks, 2 small tomatoes, and a half jalapeño for some kick!
50 pounds in 60 days sounds seriously unhealthy. Have you looked into sparkpeople.com, @Dorina Lata?
Screw the drink, do you remember that glass? I had it!
Think I still have the glass.... If not it broke on my head when the shelf fell when I was a teen!
I have this whole set of glasses!
My favorite breakfast juice! 1 crate of strawberries, 4 apples, 4 carrots.
Your glass makes me laugh!
I am going to try the juice!
How long did this mixture last you? A meal? A day? Two days?
That mixture is just one big "meal"! I already drank a lot of the juice before I took this picture. :-)
I had that glass when I was little. It was my chocolate milk glass .
Bruschetta Juice: 2 large tomatoes, 1 garlic clove, basil to taste!
Morning Bloody Mary: 4 large tomatoes, 6 celery stalks, 1/2 lemon, and black pepper or cayenne pepper to taste!
are you allowed to add salt and pepper or even cayenne to juice on a juice fast??? That would make me so happy!
Wow you are brave to add that much Celery to a juice! I am not much of a fan of celery and I put 1/2 the required amount in a recipe once and I ended up having to throw it out I couldn't stand it! Not a good taste for me!
Jamba Juice has three options for meals during a juice fast: Apple 'n Greens, Berry upBEET, and Orange Carrot Karma!
thanks for posting this, i have been looking for options from juice stores. are these made without concentrated juice? does juice it up have any choices that you're aware of??
I'm from a pretty small town, so we only have a Jamba Juice and a restaurant called Grilla Bites that serve fresh juice. My best advice is to ask ask ASK! You always have a right to know what goes into your drink! I always made sure there wasn't any yogurt or other dairy products added to the juice... just fresh fruits and veggies juiced right in front of you!
Okay, thanks! I did ask both Jamba and Juice-it-Up both said that they put some concentrated juices in all drinks. I will stick with making sure no dairy or other products. I guess a little concentrated juice is okay then?
PS. tried the Berry upBeet today and actually really liked it!
I would try to avoid concentrated juice it you can, my local Jamba Juice didn't mention it and I watched them make it, but good for you for asking! Try a healthy restaurant, sometimes they offer fresh juice (our local place is called Grilla Bites).
$30 worth of fruits and veggies for 3 days of juice!
How much weight did you lose total?
I have been juice fasting as well! it's so crazy how much produce I go through every day! lol
I don't have that kind of money to spend on juicing. How about alternating with one or two juices a day plus a lot of water
Or eat whole fruits and veggies to keep you full
My 60 day jump-start to better health! I am not a doctor, please consult yours before changing your diet.
I watched the documentary and am wondering if you have found the 60 day plan that Joe followed. Even on the reboot website they don't have even a 30 day juicing plan. Thanks for any help and I appreciate your posts!
You are crazy! But I give you my respect as a 60 day juice diet is very difficult. I did it for a week and broke.
Drinking nothing but juice for 60 days is called restricting. And can lead to an eating disorder. SO not healthy!
You're not restricting because you're bombarding your body with more nutrients because you're consuming more fruits & vegetables than you normally would. I'm a vegan and I eat mostly veggies/fruits with some starches anyways and I am far from malnutritioned. I'm 5'8" and 160 pounds. Some people juice unhealthily, like I did after I got my wisdom teeth out- it was so bad that my tongue began to turn black, but that's because I had one smoothy a day and that was it. You can eat unhealthy in any diet form- you just have to monitor and suppliment with vitamins if necessary. This post is great, thanks a bunch!
Fruit and veggie juice is the easiest way to lose bloat and feel great! I am not a doctor, please consult yours before changing your diet.
I had to take a large handful and roll it up into a "ball", then kind of shove it into the chute and work it down slowly until it juiced. You definitely have to put in some arm work with the lettuce (or at least I did!). You could also try asking this question on the Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/#!...
Also, Jagoda, it depends a lot on which juicer you bought. The "slow" juicers like Hurom give lots of juice and the pulp is almost cardboard dry.
Jagoda Amanda : What I do when I use spinach or any other leafy green. I juice everything then I use my regular blender, pour the juice from my juicer then I throw my spinach and/or kale and blend it all together.
I'm not trying to be negative but you look your healthiest at day 23, at 60 you look like you're a little under nourished. But kudos to the long fast =)
Wouldn't just putting it all in the blender, adding some water ( or tomatoes etc.) do just as well as juicing all of it? I may keel over before I'm done with this!
