Fancy Embellished Edwardian High Collar circa 1905
From the legendary embroidery salon in Paris of master atelier Francois Lesage who died at the age of 82 in December of 2011. [text from France Today, 01.15.2010]: "Lesage once declared that 'a country that loses its crafts is a country in its death throes". To avoid that fate for France, Lesage opened his own embroidery school in Paris in 1992, teaching interested amateurs & visitors as well as professionals the traditional techniques of embroidery, needlepoint and the Lunéville crochet hook."
