An automaton (a mechanical, self-moving doll, or what we would call a robot now) created by Pierre Jaquet-Droz between 1768 and 1774. Jaquet-Droz was a French watchmaker who made automata to help advertise his firm's watches and mechanical birds. I have a feeling Frida Kahlo would've loved to paint this, and would have cried while doing so.
