Special Needs Art Lessons

I am always looking for appropriate projects for my Special Needs classes. In addition to teaching regular ed high school art, I teach a class of Multiple-handicapped students as well as an Autistic Support class.

visual, shape, design and visual texture tie in with art forms and seasons along with life cycle lesson: We celebrated Hungry Caterpillar Day and the 1st day of Spring with Eric Carle's artwork as our inspiration.......circle cut tons of old scrapbooking paper for the kiddos to paste down.....fun!

This could be fun art lesson to use with Middle School kids, they could choose an instrument..maybe one they play as the subject matter for a graphic design peice....
