Shot on super 16mm, this short is about Doug Robinson who made the first clean ascent of the NW face of Half Dome in 1973 and wrote an essay entitled "The Whole Natural Art of Protection" for the Chouinard Equipment catalog which inspired a new way of climbing that didn't harm the rock walls.
