Frances Tipton Hunter
Frances Tipton Hunter (1896-1957) female illustrator who created covers for the Saturday Evening Post between 1920-1950's. Her work was very similar to the style of Norman Rockwell.Many women of this era chose children and their pets as a general subject matter. She also created her own style of paper doll's,posters ,and calendars.
1922/3 Magazine Sheets of "The Little Busybodies" by Frances Tipton Hunter 14" x 10.5". Six uncut sheets feature The Little Busybodies including Katy Curls,Squeezicks doll,Rogue Rob,Jolly Jane and others. Each sheet features one doll with five or more costumes and accessories and details of a "surprise" game. Drawn by Frances Tipton Hunter,the pages appeared in Woman's Home Companion.
