Buy only cruelty free products....
They have as much right as we do to share our planet. If we cannot be vegetarians, at least defend their basic rights. They deserve a proper living condition and decent treatment, just like any living creatures. Public must start giving voices to this issues.
Although I should note that the topic of intelligence is irrelevant because ultimately, it's still wrong to take someone's life away. Humans, however, do possess intelligence to know what's morally right and wrong, and they're given a choice to either harm or not harm others. When given the choice, it makes sense to choose compassion.
Go vegan ♥
40% of animals "raised to slaughter" for human consumption die BEFORE, or DURING transport. Another 40% of animals are THROWN AWAY and/or just plain WASTED by consumers, restaurants and supermarkets. Do the math...80% of all cattle, hogs, chickens, turkeys, fish, etc., lived AND DIED for NOTHING!!! Go Vegan

This is exactly why I became vegan. Except at first it was for my health, to eat healthy food. And I figured eating vegan was best. And then I started watching the videos like Earthlings and educated myself. I've been vegan for just over 2 months now and the thought of consuming anything that came from a living, sentient being makes me sick. Go vegan!
Vegetarians believe in kindness.
"I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs... they are an obligation put on us, a responsibility we have no right to neglect, nor to violate by cruelty." ~ James Herriot (James Alfred Wight)
