Mr Peebles may look like a kitten, but he is actually 2-year-old. The tiny cat got its size from a genetic defect that stunts growth. At just 6.1-inch (15.5 cm) high and 19.2-inch (49 cm) long, he currently holds certification from The Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s smallest cat.

Growing up to 5 feet and length and weighing in at over 150 pounds, the Goliath Tigerfish makes a piranha look like a guppy. Locals say it's the only fish that doesn't fear the crocodile, and will even devour some of the smaller ones! In rare instances, it's also been known to attack humans. *Gulp* This fish has incredible eyesight in murky water and can sense low-frequency vibrations emitted by prey.
These strange deep-sea creatures look like they could be characters from a new science fiction film. The menacing fangs of the viperfish make it the Hannibal Lecter of the deep, while the larval anglerfish looks terrified as it swims away. Photographer Norbert Wu snapped the unusual fish as they were raised onto a boat, while on a research expedition. The creatures were netted around 1,000ft below sea level.
