I think doing an easy re-fashion like this would still give the feel of a sewing-ish craft without actually having to deal with the stress of machines/thread/needles/etc. prep: would mostly just be buying t-shirts. We could pick up basic XL hanes ones (or whatever is cheapest) is white, gray, and black or people could bring their own if they prefer. So the cost would pretty much just be the flat cost of the shirt.
