Step 1: Look at the directions on the cake mix, Step 2: Add one more egg (or add 2 if you want it to be very rich), Step 3: Use melted butter instead of oil and double the amount, Step 4: Instead of water, use milk. Step 5: Mix well and bake for the time recommended on the box. (I did this and I won't go back to the box directions ever again)
Smoked Turkey Drizzle with oil of choice . Sprinkle with garlic and pepper. Place in smoker until internal temp at 170. ( takes about 8 hrs for a 12 pound turkey ) SOOOO YUMMY !!
Dad's Smoked Idaho Ribs (Dry Rub) This rub is great with St. Louis cut or Baby Backs. 1/4 cup paprika, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp black pepper, 2 tbsp garlic powder, 2 tsp cumin, 2 tsp sea salt, 2 tsp cayenne, 2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp celery seed, 1/2 tsp dry oregano & 4 handfuls water soaked hickory chips. Put ribs on smoker at 215-220 degrees for 5-6 hrs. Add a handful of chips when ribs are put on, then a handful every 1-1/2 hrs. Ribs done when internal temp is 180 degrees.
Jello frosting, works for any flavor! 3 ounce pkg. of Jello (favorite flavor), 2/3 cup granulated sugar, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Place the above ingredients in a large GLASS OR METAL mixing bowl (OF A STAND MIXER). Turn the mixer on high just as you add ½ cup of boiling water. Whip on high for five minutes! This would be great on cupcakes, with the holiday flavored Jell-O!
