Books Worth Reading
Tinder (Book) by Sally Gardner, et al. (2013): Waterstones.com
A cover scan of the Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. Published by Harper Collins. This artwork was drawn by Tolkien himself and was used as the dust jacket for the first 1937 Allen & Unwin hardback edition. See JRR Tolkien: Artist & Illustrator, #143/#144. The portion of runes visible on the dustcover can be translated using the key below. When translated, the parts visible in this picture read: "n being the record of a years journey made by Bilbo Baggins of Hobbiton compiled from his memo". It should be noted that there is no punctuation, so sentences lacking commas become long and overly cumbersome.
A definite classic. In my opinion, I prefer 'The Hobbit' over the Lord of the Rings trilogy, mostly because it isn't quite as daunting.
Life of Pi: Yann Martel Wonderful story!
