The Thorn Birds: a chronicle of three generations of Clearys—an indomitable clan of ranchers carving lives from a beautiful, hard land while contending with the bitterness, frailty and secrets that penetrate their family. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak 5 stars! This book is about a young German girl during WWII. This book has a very unique writing style and is narrated by Death. As strange as this sounds, Death is an engaging character. I really enjoyed all of the characters and how they developed in the book. The Book Thief is a sad book but the love and the relationships in the book are quite beautiful. A must read book! 02/18/12 north korea, writing styles, the book thief, children, book clubs, reading books, book club books, reading lists, must read books about war
