The opposite of albinism called melanism, a recessive trait where the skin and fur are all black. This is perhaps the most beautiful lion I have ever seen.

    The lion does not have the genes to show melanism: jaguars, leopards yes, but not lions. This is a piece of photoshop misinformation. I have the original "normal lion" Photo next to the "Black Lion" Photo on my board Big Cats 3. ome one did a good photoshop job, but he was out to fool us.
